By: Christy Green
With no opponents filed, Clint Allen will be serving Cass County as District Attorney for another term. Allen has recently completed his third year as District Attorney.  "This position gives me the opportunity to be of service to the citizens of Cass County," said Allen.  "And to make sure that we have the best criminal justice system that we can possibly have." "It has been a pleasure to serve the citizens of Cass County in this position, and I look forward to serving them for some time to come," he added.  "And I will continue to work hard for them in the position they have entrusted me with."
Clint is a native of Cass County.  He and wife, Andrea have been married for 15-and-a-half years and have two daughters.

"This is a good place to raise children and a good place to be," he said. "I'm here to stay," added McMichael.  "I have only one more move planned in my life, and that's to the cemetery." Max Bain Runs for Re-Election as Precinct 4 Commissioner
By: Christy Green
Max Bain has served as Precinct 4 Commissioner for eight years, and is now running for re-election. Bain said his position as Commissioner gives him an opportunity to help all people in the precinct.  With most of them living outside the city limits of Atlanta, Bain stated that improving county roads is very important to him. "I'm thankful that I've been blessed with a crew of men that are very conciencious about the roads, and that are constantly trying to improve them," said Bain. According to Bain, some other functions of being Commissioner are setting the budget for all the county officials and all the offices and positions in the county, and also setting the county tax rate.
"The people that know me, know me as a conservative person when it comes to the county finances," he said.  "I think in this day and time with the economy in the state and the country like it is we have to be conservative with our tax dollars." Bain has lived in Cass County since 1979.  Him and his wife, Sylvia, have been married for 48 years and have two daughters, Kim Dodson and Mindy Rutland and one son, the late Max Bain, Jr.

State Representative Stephen Frost from Atlanta, Tx. Is seeking his 4th term in office as the state representative from Cass, Bowie, Marion and Morris counties.  Frost will be the only democrat on the March 2nd primary ballot for the house 1 seat. Two Texarkana residents are running for house seat #1 on the republican ticket, they are Jack Ballard and George Laven.
